Halfling is a Race in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. To create your Champion in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous you can choose between 12 races. Each of them has its special characteristics, choose one according to your preferences and style of play.

 

Halfling Information

Optimistic and cheerful by nature, blessed with uncanny luck and driven by a powerful wanderlust, halflings make up for their short stature with an abundance of bravado and curiosity. At once excitable and easy-going, halflings like to keep an even temper and a steady eye on opportunity, and are not as prone as some of the more volatile races to violent or emotional outbursts. Even in the jaws of catastrophe, a halfling almost never loses his sense of humor.

Halflings are inveterate opportunists. Unable to physically defend themselves from the rigors of the world, they know when to bend with the wind and when to hide away. Yet a halfling's curiosity often overwhelms his good sense, leading to poor decisions and narrow escapes.

Though their curiosity drives them to travel and seek new places and experiences, halflings possess a strong sense of house and home, often spending above their means to enhance the comforts of home life.

 

Halfling Physical Appearance

Halflings rise to a humble height of 3 feet. They prefer to walk barefoot, leading to the bottoms of their feet being roughly calloused. Tufts of thick, curly hair warm the tops of their broad, tanned feet. Their skin tends toward a rich almond color and their hair toward light shades of brown. A halfling's ears are pointed, but proportionately not much larger than those of a human.

Fearless

  • Acquired ability
  • Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on all saving throws against fear. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by halfling luck.

Sure-Footed

  • Acquired ability
  • Halflings receive a +2 racial bonuses on Athletics and Mobility checks.

Halfling Luck

  • Acquired ability
  • Halflings receive a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.

Slow Movement

  • Acquired ability
  • Halflings have a base speed of 20 feet.

Keen Senses

  • Acquired ability
  • Dwarves, elves, gnomes, half-elves, half-ores and halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.

 Racial Heritages

Various places and living conditions create sub-races differing from their peers. They gain unique racial traits in exchange for losing some of the usual ones.

Craven - Craven halflings lose halfling luck and fearless, and take a -2 penalty to saving throws against fear, but gain a +2 racial bonus on Reflex saving throws and become shaken any time they would normally become frightened.

Hasty - Hasty halflings lose sure-footed and fearless, but their base speed becomes 30 feet, and they gain a +2 bonus on Initiative rolls.

 

Halfling Tips & Notes

  • Size : Halflings are Small, which affects all weapon damage and which animals they can mount.

      The dark sun setting of d&d focuses on halflings & humans as the cause of a mass extinction event.
      The more innocent ones not associated to the extinction event are savage isolationists that kill mages on sight.
      The picture of the halfling barbarian reminds me of that settings harsh savage depiction of the fantasy creatures.
