Midnight Bolt Notes & Tips
- Midnight Bolts are required to receive a certain item from certain enemies in order to get the "secret" Ending. The first time a Midnight Bolt can be used to receive this "certain item" is in Act 4. Do not sell or waste it on normal enemies. You will need 6 bolts in order to get the best ending possible.

For some reason there's no midnight bolt in Ivory sanctum in the current version, but i remember the exact spot i picked it up at in 2 previous playthroughts

I found one of them in the Ineluctable Prison too, where you also find the Hand of the Inheritor's Heart.

There's also one in a torture room in the mines just before the end of act 4

Is there more than one and is it reusable? It was a very strong early game boss killer but the battle ended and I was unable to loot the corpse to try and retrieve it.
when do you use midnight bolts and on whom? i figured out it was not hepzatitus through trial and error. baphomet is the first target. oddly, nocticula claims to have shot him in her dialogue, so did i waste it? "my black bolts gave him a cool kiss he wont forget" or something along those lines, but she showed up after the fight was already over. *shrugs* who knows. this on-rails game has so much scripting problems it's ridiculous.
