Creating a Paradox Walkthrough
To acquire this quest, first you need to learn that Areelu's excess is also traped in this prison. After you left Otherside of Threshold, while talking to Valmallos, you need to pass perception check (61) to find out he didn't mention about Areelu's excess power. Press him on that matter, then you can search for Areelu later.
Leave Threshold and head for Areelu's hut (pass Knowledge Arcana check 48), you need to find four items and place them accordingly to activate Areelu's projector.
The four items are:
- Pan (kitchen)
- Flower (Vase)
- Doll (table)
- Drawing (crib)
Interact with the projector and talk to Areelu Vorlesh.
In order to achieve Areelu Vorlesh's plan, you need to both sow chaos, and stabilize the world, to create a paradox. You can sow chaos by opening rifts, allow anomalies to exists in errands. Closing rifts and eradicate anomalies stabilize the world.
The rifts can be found on the following maps:
- Threshold, East of Entrance to Other side of Threshold
- Threshold, North of Entrance to Other side of Threshold
- Threshold, West side of map, South of Mephistoles
- Iz, West side of map
- Iz, South Central of map
- Iz, East side of map
- Other Side of Threshold, East side of map
There are 7 rifts and 9 side quests that give points for 16 point opportunities total. You need to split these 16 evenly with 8 points to each side. Doing so will trigger the "broken" world state.
When you hit the 8/8 split between Order and Chaos, you will trigger another transition as the world enters DLC1_State_Broken. This will cause the area around Threshold to be a merger of the Axis and Maelstrom states.
