Rageshaper Class Features/Abilities

Terrible Slam

A rageshaper can deliver blows that demolish his foes. This functions as the shifter claws class ability, except his natural weapons are treated as slam attacks. Additionally, the rageshaper's terrible slam deals increased damage to constructs. At 1st level, terrible slam deals 5 additional points damage to constructs. This increases to 10 points at 5th level, 15 points at 10th level, and 20 points at 15th level. At will, a rageshaper in his natural form can gain two slam attacks as a swift action to use as a weapon. The slam can be used as a primary natural attack, dealing 1d4 points of bludgeoning damage (1d3 if he is Small). As the rageshaper gains levels, the power of his slams increases. At 3rd level, his slams bypass DR N/cold iron, N/magic, and N/silver. At 7th level, his slam damage increases to 1d6 (1d4 if Small). At 11th level, his slam damage increases to 1d8 (1d6 if Small). At 13th level, his slam damage increases to 1d10 (1d8 if Small). At 17th level, the damage die does not increase, but the critical multiplier becomes x3. Finally, at 19th level, the slams bypass DR N/adamantine and N/-.

Devastating Form

A rageshaper can enter a state of intense fury, transforming into a living engine of destruction. This ability functions as the barbarian's rage class feature, except entering this state of fury requires a swift action. The rageshaper can maintain this form for 1 minute. The rageshaper gains all benefits of a barbarian's rage and grows one size category larger. The rageshaper can use devastating form a number of times per day equal to his shifter level (the Limitless Rage mythic ability removes this restriction). Once per use of devastating form, a rageshaper can use the ground slam ability. Ground Slam: Once per use of devastating form, a rageshaper can slam the ground, dealing 1d6 bludgeoning damage per shifter level + an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every enemy hit by this ability to all enemies within 20 feet of him and knocking them prone. A successful Reflex save (DC 10 + half the rageshaper's shifter level + the rageshaper's Constitution modifier) halves the damage and negates being knocked prone. When the rageshaper ends his devastating form ability, he is fatigued for 5 rounds. The rageshaper cannot enter devastating form again while fatigued or exhausted. If the rageshaper falls unconscious, his devastating form ends immediately. At 10th level, the rageshaper can grow up to a maximum of two size categories larger with devastating form; his rage is now treated as greater rage, as the barbarian ability of the same name; and the damage die of his ground slam ability increases to d8. At 20th level, the rageshaper gains a +4 racial bonus to his Strength ability score and the improved natural attack ability with his slam attack in devastating form; his rage is now treated as mighty rage, as the barbarian ability of the same name; and the damage die of his ground slam ability increases to d10. This replaces wild shape, shifter aspect, and all improvements to shifter aspect.

Invulnerable Defenses

At 2nd level, a rageshaper becomes difficult to harm in his devastating form. Whenever the rageshaper takes on his devastating form and is unencumbered and either wearing no armor or wearing light or medium nonmetal armor, he gains a +2 natural armor bonus to his AC and DR 2/-. At 10th level, the rageshaper's DR increases to 5/-. At 15th level, the rageshaper's DR increases to 7/-. At 20th level, the rageshaper's DR increases to 10/-, and his natural armor bonus to AC increases to +4. This replaces defensive instinct, chimeric aspect, and greater chimeric aspect.
