Raise Dead Tips & Notes

  • The spell is very costly: Casting it from your spells consumes a diamond, which are rare and expensive. And casting it from a scroll requires no diamond, but the scrolls cost 6000 gold each.
  • Raise Dead is the lowest-level spell that can revive dead companions at any time (Breath of Life can only resurrect two rounds after death). Resurrection is the more powerful version, which has no negative side effects but requires higher spell level and more material components.

FINALLY figured out how to use the scrolls on dead companions in town. Simply switch to them in the inventory screen and have them use it as if they were drinking a potion. So if Sosiel is dead, switch to him, then right-click>use the scroll and it will revive him. Don't know if you have to be near the NPC cleric vendor to do so, but I was.

A completely useless spell. I haven't found any way to recover the dead bodies of your party members in order to raise them. If you take them into a map with a party, they appear off the map in empty space, so you can't get in range to raise them.
