Flesheater Abilities
Crush and Tear
At 1st level, a flesheater gains a bite attack. This is a secondary attack that deal 1d4 points of damage (assuming the flesheater is Medium; 1d3 points of damage if Small) plus half the flesheater's Strength modifier. At 5th level, the damage increases to 1d6 and her bite is treated as cold iron and silver for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. At 11th level, the damage increases to 1d8 and her bite deals 1d6 points of bleed damage in addition to its other effects. At 17th level, the damage increases to 1d10.
If the flesheater has the animal fury rage power, her bite attack damage while raging increases by one step (up to 2d6 at 17th level).
Power from Flesh
At 2nd level, a flesheater develops an unyielding hunger, which can only be satisfied by the essence of a magical creature. Devouring the flesh of a dead creature is a full-round action that can be used on any dragon, fey, magical beast, outsider, or undead that has a body. Until her hunger is sated, while raging, the flesheater gains an additional +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls against creatures whose flesh can feed her, but also suffers a -2 penalty to Intelligence and a 20% chance to become confused each round for 1 round. For the next 24 hours after sating her hunger, while raging, the flesheater gains a minor trait based on the creature devoured, and she also gains one point of essence. At 9th and 18th levels, the bonus against creatures she can devour increases by 1. The flesheater cannot hold more than one essence point at a time. The DCs of any abilities granted by devour flesh are equal to 10+ half the flesheater's level + her Constitution modifier.
Devour Essence
As a swift action, a flesheater can consume an essence point to heal 1d8 points of damage + her Constitution modifier. For every 5 levels the flesheater has attained above 3rd, this amount of damage healed increases by 1d8, to a maximum of 4d8 at 18th level.
Changeable Form
At 7th level, a flesheater forms a connection with the creatures she consumes. Any traits and abilities granted by devour flesh now work even when she is not raging, and devour flesh now also grants her a major trait based on the devoured creature's type. In addition, the maximum number of essence points the flesheater can hold increases to 2.
Unbound Rage
At 11th level, a flesheater grows larger when entering a rage, as long as the creature whose flesh she recently devoured was at least one size category larger than her base size. Unbound rage works as the enlarge person spell, except the flesheater gains a +4 size bonus to Strength and a -2 penalty to Intelligence.
You Are What You Eat
At 14th level, a flesheater learns to awaken the abilities of creatures whose bodies she consumes. Whenever she devours a creature, she gains a special ability based on the creature's type (dragon, fey, magical beast, outsider, or undead), which she can use as a standard action at the cost of two essence points. Abilities gained this way are not affected by spell resistance. In
addition, the maximum number of essence points the flesheater can hold increases to 3.
Unbound Form
At 20th level, whenever the flesheater gains the benefits of her unbound rage, her size increases by one additional category and her size bonus to Strength increases by +8 (to a total of a +12 size bonus). In addition, the maximum number of essence points the flesheater can hold increases to 4.
