A hide skinned from a magical creature. As it retains some of its magical properties, such material is greatly valued by artisans who craft charmed items.
Hide of a Magical Creature is one of several materials needed by the Storyteller to restore Artifact items back to full power. You cannot find a Hide of a Magical Creature until Act 4 or later.

Hide of a Magical Creature Locations
- On a skeleton at the end of the bottom mine shaft in the Nexus.
- In a chest behind Wirlong Black Mask in the Flesh Markets of the Middle City.
- Found in an unmarked house in the Upper City. The house is near the climbing entrance to the Upper City, and has a purple haze wall protecting the entrance. The house is just east of Dimalchio's Mansion and the haze wall says "Portal". You can also get Life Deliverer here.
- Upper City. North-east direction from the portal. In a hidden locked chest in a corner with a wagon.
- Can be found in hidden bag inside a cell in the Drezen Prison during the quest A Step Away from Defeat.
- Can be found in a chest inside the commander's room in the Drezen Citadel during the quest A Step Away from Defeat.
- Can be found next to his wagon in the random encounter with Jubilost.

They've put in more with the updates, an extra one I found is in the Upper City in Act 4.
Head to the bridge that leads to the Palace of Incest and Degeneracy but don't cross it.
While facing the bridge, head to the left, past the tree and near the wooden cart.
Pass a DC 33 Perception check, and a DC 27 Trickery check to get the Hide.
