Joran Vhane is an NPC in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. NPCs in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous are side characters who can issues Quests, provide information and background Story, and even trade Items with players.

 

Joran Vhane Information

Joran Vhane is the brother of Staunton Vhane and an accomplished smith. He forged Yaniel's legendary sword, Radiance.

  • Joran Vhane can be located in the courtyard of the Defender's Heart. He sells weapons and armor.
  • After completing The Burning City, you will no longer be able to find Joran Vhane. You will next encounter him during Banner over the Citadel during the siege of Drezen. However, he will not be available as a trader.
  • If you found Radiance inside the Shield Maze, you will have the option to show the sword to Joran when you talk to him in the Defender's Heart. If you do so, when you meet him later in Drezen, he will upgrade Radiance for you.

      So... since you have no official way to save him (i read somewhere Aeon and maybe Azata can sorta time-travel in act4/5 to save the brothers), I believe he picks a fight with you, not to stop you from hurting/punishing his brother, but because he can't live with himself anymore. I mean, let's be real, dwarf or not, he's a blacksmith throwing himself against a "hero" and up to 5 companions, who fought their way through a horde of demons. He clearly has a deathwish.
      And he can't be reasoned with due bad writing, with a pretty weak excuse of "you can't save everyone".
