• Do not use this spell to try and get rid of hostile area of effect spells, like Cloudkill or Sirocco. The Area version of Greater Dispel does also affect each character in that area and tries to dispel one spell from them, so you might accidentially remove buffs from your allies. To safely dispel hostile area spells on top of your characters, use the level 3 spell Dispel Magic (Point).
