Above the Clouds is a Quest in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Quests can provide unique adventuring experience, as well as powerful gears and treasures. Some quests are time-limited and some can only be completed with certain companions.

 

Above the Clouds Information

Much like migratory birds that sense the change in the seasons, all kinds of dreamy and rebellious spirits sensed a new power emerge in the lands of the Worldwound. All of them are inspired by the Commander, the living embodiment of the so-called "wind of change." Will they come bearing good or evil? And where will this path lead them?

 

Above the Clouds Objectives

 

Transform thirty ordinary items and give them to the recipient

  • The cavalry sculptors need thirty edible things transformed by burying them on the ridge.
  • Maestro Aven'Turine needs thirty mosaic pieces, which can be obtained by transforming items on the ridge.

 

Head to "this beautiful ridge"

  • Your dragon companion claims that your good friends are waiting for you on a ridge not far from Drezen. Who are they and what do they want from you?

 

Wait two weeks and visit the Court

  • Since its transformation into a flourishing garden, the ridge has become home to the Commander's followers, those who style themselves as "free crusaders." They are now settling in and they expect their host to drop by in two weeks.

 

Talk to the artist and the sculptors

  • The street artist Aven Turine and the reckless cavalry sculptors wish to speak to the Commander. They are abuzz with excitement over the ridge-turned-garden's newly discovered ability to transform buried items.

 

Transform thirty ordinary items and give them to the recipient

  • The artists of the Court want to use items transformed by the ridge to create a unique work of art.

 

Visit the Court and talk to the Maitresse

  • The bard is having an argument with her friend, the priest. Perhaps the Commander can help them come to a decision.

  • Things are unsettled at the ridge-turned-garden — quite literally. What's going on?

 

 

Above the Clouds Walkthrough

Note the transformation of buried items is instantaneous, you do not need to wait. If it doesn't immediately transform, it means the item isn't compatible.

In general, junk items that work has the description "An item of interest to a craftsman or a collector. A merchant would pay well for it".

Confirmed items that you can transform:

  • Shiny Thingamabob - Silver Powder, Sharp claw, Old map
  • Edible Thingamabob - Medicinal Herb Petals, Whimsical berry

Sometimes edible junk items can yield shiny thingamabobs and vice versa. There is also a small chance of getting miscellaneous equipment from the soil.

The strange power that dwells within the Commander has transformed an ordinary ridge into a wonderful floating island. This happened in no small part thanks to the free crusaders, who have created something truly special on the base given to them by the Commander.

 

Above the Clouds Tips & Tricks

  • Create the mosaic
  • Shiny Dreams - For the next 7 days, the Azata and all companions who rested with her, is struck by an enemy, that enemy is dazzled for 1 minute.
  • Create the edible sculpture
    Cookie for a Dream - For the next 7 days, the Azata and all companions who rested with her, gain a +2 bonus to AC against Bite attacks.
  • Plant the grove of trees
    Tree's Friend - Azata gains an ability to summon a Treant to fight at her side, similar to a Changestaff spell. The summoned Treant has DR 10/-, Natural Armour 20 and 18 Hit Dice.
  • Create the prismatic spring
    Source of Alchemy - Azata and her companions gain the ability to use any potion as a Cure Wounds spell of the same level. This effect lasts 7 days.
  • Choose a tranquil or cheerful version of Starward Gaze
    Desna's Lullaby Harp - For the next 7 days, when the Azata and all companions who rested with her, kills an enemy, if they are Exhausted they become Fatigued. If they are Fatigued they are cured of Fatigue. If they are neither Exhausted or Fatigued, they gain a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls and a 10 foot enhancement bonus to all forms of movement. These bonuses last until the end of their next turn.

      Not all junk Items can be used. So far the ones I have been able to transmute are:
      Wooden Spoons
      Wooden Cups
      Wooden Plates
      Old Maps
      Medicinal Petals

      Unlike what is stated above what item you use does not effect the result. All outcomes are entirely random. In addition to the quest Items, shiny thingamabob and edible thingamabob you can get sever other random results. These seem to occur much less frequently than getting the quest items. So far other Items I have acquired are:
      Several other random junk items (sell value 2)
      Pair of Fluffy Boots (Non-Magic Boots, sell value 250)
      Green Hat of Handsomeness (+2 Charisma, sell value 1000)
      Googles of Mad Scientist (Wearer constantly confused, sell value 250)

        Will skipping this quest altogether stunt the Azata path? I am wasting so much time trying to find all these little pieces through the world map that I never bothered picking up, and half of them aren't accepted.

          Choosing was hard but I think a comestible sculpture was too much fun to be left. I like to keep Aivu happy ^^
