Experiencing the Bliss Information

Gladiator fights are one of the most popular entertainments among demons. And their passion for bloody shows, along with their love for massacre and craving for conquer, is one of the few similarities that unite demons and turn them into society instead of an unruly horde of monsters. The names of the stars that perform at the arena best known as the Battlebliss, resound throughout all of Alushinyrra. The champion title can bring its bearer true glory. Perhaps, even Nocticula herself will direct her attention to such person.

Experiencing the Bliss Objectives

Find someone who can arrange a fight in the arena

Fighting in the Battlebliss arena can bring real glory. Naturally, such fame comes with a price that must be paid in blood, but the Abyss knows no ways to earn any reputation peacefully. Respect is demonstrated only to those who acquired it through violence, and the list of those you killed is, in fact, a functional equivalent of your bibliography in academic circles or your bank account among merchants. To start conquering the Battlebliss, first you should find someone in charge of arranging the fights.

Fight in the arena

It's time for the debut fight in the Battlebliss. Perhaps, this is the most pivotal moment of the entire gladiator career — the first appearance in the arena. Depending on it, is the audience starts loving or hating a fighter. There is no middle ground here — such is the reflex response of spectators who experience a peak of excitement while watching someone else get killed. As soon as the preparation for the fight is over, Zeklex will need to know that you're ready to fight.

Buy gladiators for the arena

A good attitude from the arena steward means almost as much to gladiators as their fighting skill. For it is the former who decides whether a fighter will participate in interesting and glorious battles, or he or she will be confined to sad slaughtering one no-name contestant after another, like a common butcher. Therefore, when the arena steward asks you for a favor, the smartest option is to agree. Zeklex is in need of new gladiators. If you arrange a shipment of new fighters for him, you can count on Zeklex's further support.

Fight a serious opponent in the arena

Defeating the mephit is not a big deal. In order to earn glory, you need to kill a more formidable opponent. After all, the easiest way to gain fame is by killing someone who already has it. This is the economics of prestige when demons frantically rob each other but take away the reputations of fallen foes instead of their wallets. To get a fight with a more dangerous opponent, you need to talk with Zeklex.

Hire succubi to entertain the arena champion

Every gladiator needs stimuli to fight. Beating and threats work for some; but for most fighters, they are potential pleasures and fulfillment of wishes. The arena champion is the embodiment of these awards, who attracts new contestants and lures them into fighting by the promise of fame and a luxurious life. So, to keep the champion happy, everyone within the arena premises is prepared to do whatever it takes. Zeklex asked for another favor. He wants to hire the succubi from the Ten Thousand Delights to entertain the arena champion, Gelderfang. This request has not much sense, but having Zeklex indebted might prove useful.

Defeat the Nahyndrian League fighter

Even in the kingdom of chaos which is the Abyss, there are some rules and firm regulations. Without them, the very idea of the hierarchy would have been impossible, and demons enjoy domineering others too much to let the hierarchy disappear. One of such rules states that to qualify for the fight with Gelderfang, any gladiator must prove him- or herself first. To prove that you are worthy to die by Gelderfang's hand, you must be the Nahyndrian league member. The only way to acquire that status is to strike down one of active league members. Zeklex is ready to arrange the fight as soon as you are done with the preparations.

Experiencing the Bliss Walkthrough

  • Agree to attend the fights in Battlebliss Arena.
  • After your first fight, agree to buy gladiators for the Arena. Before you do this it would be best to rest to trigger Sosiel quest and visit the market and talked to masked slaver.
  • Go the Fleshmarkets in Middle City and ask about all the slave traders about gladiator slaves.
  • Return to Arena and prepare for 2nd battle, this time your party will be randomly teleported to different corner of the arena.
  • Next, Zeklex tasks you to hire some succubi to entertain the arena champion, pass the persuasion check so he pays you upfront.
  • Travel to Ten Thousand Delights, and ask the owner Chivarro, and she directs you to Palace of Incest and Degeneracy in the Upper City.
  • The Palace of Incest and Degeneracy can be found in Upper City, however, the succubi there asks you to pay them even you already paid Chivarro. You will need to pass intimidation check to make them behave.
  • Return to Arena and face the Nahyndrian League fighter. This time you will be knocked out after winning, and the owner claim you as his slaves.
  • Talk to other gladiators and see if you can find any allies. One of the gladiators, called The Dire-One, is actually Sosiel's brother. (Prisoner of Abyss) If you hired the succubus, you can now instruct them to poison your opponent.
  • Once you are prepared, and find allies in gladiators, you can proceed to arena and fight Gelderfang.
  • After wining the fight and your freedom, decide who should run the arena afterwards.

Experiencing the Bliss Completed Quests Information

The incubus Gelderfang is dead and the arena bows down before its new champion. Her name is on the lips of every Alushinyrran.

Tips & Tricks

  • After you "enter" the the Nahyndrian league, you can talk the gladiators around in the league, and try to convince them helping against the champion. Atselm can be found there - alive and well. She is a Fey, with 3 bodies - if not all of them killed, she will allways survive. You can persuade her by saying, that this betrayal will be fun. Also there is the Dire One, which includes Sosiel personal quest.
  • to save Trevor, you have to talk to masked demon in the fleshmarket before starting this quest, also need a succesful perception check, when you speak to the Dire One, just after you bacme a member of the Nahyndrian league

Failed the Intimidation check and wasn’t paying, Attacked the Succubi hoping it’d be a non-lethal “alright, fine, we’ll do it!” bullying. Now they’re dead. Sooo I’m locked out of the quest?

I just refused to become a slave trader (good dialogue option). Demon playthrough. The arena master just chides you and moves to the fight against the bug twins.

The succubus section is bugged. It does not matter whether you intimidate them or not, they take the money anway.

          • Anonymous

I think I broke the quest by sending fighters earlier to nexus instead. Cannot talk the Schir there to go to Arena.
