The Secrets of Creation is a Quest in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Quests can provide unique adventuring experience, as well as powerful gears and treasures. Some quests are time-limited and some can only be completed with certain companions.
The Secrets of Creation Information
A mystery beckons. Knowledge of a secret seems to elevate a person above others. Mortals love secrets, and will do much for the sake of knowing them, even when there is no apparent benefit to possessing such knowledge. What is the point of knowing all the secrets of the Universe? And how can this translucent masked figure know them all? Why will she only share them after the Commander has solver her riddles?
There are so many questions, and only one way to find the answers - obey this unknown figure and do what she asks.
The Secrets of Creation Objectives
Go to the Heart of Mystery
- An unknown masked figure told the Commander to go to a place called the 'Heart of Mystery', promising that the 'secrets of Creation' would be revealed there. Is this a trap? Someone's stupid joke? Or is there truly something of value hidden there?
Solve Four puzzles
- An unknown masked figure told the Commander to solve four puzzles located in four areas of the Worldwound. A special puzzle key is needed to activate each of them, and this key was kindly provided to the Commander. The reward of this is supposed to be the "secrets of Creation," which the mysterious figure has promised to share only with the most worthy of mortals.
Solve the last puzzle
- The Heart of Mystery opened before the Commander. The last obstacle that stood in the way of reward.
Claim the reward
- The way is open to the "secrets of Creation." The only thing left to do is step through the open portal and receive a well-deserved reward.
The Secrets of Creation Walkthrough
- This quest is unlocked after you solved the puzzle at Conundrum Unsolved. The solution is pictured below.
- In a random encounter, you will meet an ancient spirit, answer his question (Lore: Nature checks) and he will reward you the key to Legacy of the Ancients. Later, you can meet that spirit again in various different random encounters, each time you answered his question correctly, you will get some high-level scrolls, and he will reveal one of the locations (Forgotten Secrets, Final Veil, Core of Riddle) related to the quest. (Note, some of the locations, like Final Veil and Legacy of the Ancients can only be complete after you returned from Abyss.)
- You can find slabs in Ravaged Long House, Shrine of Sacrilege, Bone Hills (southwest of Valley of Temples), and Place of Execution (west of Blackwater).
- Solutions to puzzles can be deduced from the tiles places around the outside. They indicated which symbols must be used in the corresponding row, but not how many. One symbol means only that symbol in that row. You can work out the pattern from there, using the outer tiles to help you build the final picture. (Solutions can be found on the location pages).
- Once you finished puzzles at Forgotten Secrets (slabs at Shrine of Sacrilege), Final Veil (slabs at Bone Hills), Core of Riddle (slabs at Ravaged Long House) and Legacy of the Ancients (slabs at Place of Execution), return to Heart of Mystery (slabs at Laughing Caverns) and enter the Enigma.

The Secrets of Creation Completed quest information
Unfortunately, no one was going to reveal the secrets of Creation or the mysteries of the Universe to the Commander. This was to be expected. The ancient trap set by the demon lord Areshkagal was intended for someone else, someone who never fell into it. However, the Commander was not left entirely without reward. Well, it's all for the best.
The Secrets of Creation Tips & Tricks
- When you first go towards the Core of the Riddle, you get a Wilderness Encounter, where you meet an Ancient Ghost. It is bounded by a spell to repeat the same words for everyone about the Secrets of Creation and the Heart of Mystery - but after that (if you answer correctly - it's require a DC 30 Lore (Nature) check), it has a time to answer one of your questions. One of the possible questions are, that how the ghost die. The answer contains one of the many cameos of the Pathfinder: Kingmaker - namely the Beneath The Stolen Lands DLC's location, the Tenebrious Depths.
- The only one that can be done in Act III is the Core of the Riddle. For the others, either the slabs are locked by Act V locations or the areas are.

These puzzles are hard even with having the solution in front of me.

The only thing that would make the hell this quest puts you through be worth it, is if at the end, a small white mouse comes up and says, "The answer you are looking for is, Forty-Two".

Would be great if someone would put the info there in which Chapter the puzzles are reachable / slabs are acquireable.
Because you get access to a puzzle in Chapter 3, but the slabs are in Chapter 5, if correct, while you can find Slabs in Chapter 3, but the puzzle is accessable in Chapter 4 or 5?
I mean, that's just unnecessary...

You don't actually have to do the puzzles except the Heart of Mystery I think. I only did 2 puzzles and the heart and I got the achievement.

All of these puzzles suffer from being created for a different context. If you encountered them in a roleplay group, you'd probably save the solving for the next session , which is probably in a week or two. You'd also split the experimentation effort among multiple group members, and chip away at it like a homework in small time increments, eventually comming to the solution on your own. and even if not, you'd trust your GM to know which accomplishments are vital for your quest progressions and which aren't. they may even give you hints or clear up misconceptions. or allow you to use your character's expertise to earn hints/ partial solutions, so the outcome of your brilliant arcane prodigy's solving skills does not depend on your dumbass muggle brain as a player, more than it needs to.
But as a single player rpg on pc? You're on your own, you have no reliable person to ask for clarification, hints or compromise. You also have no idea if failing at it is just gonna deprive you of some pretty loot, or is going to irreversibly lock you out of a game ending, that you spent 100+ hours working towards. And finally, you're pretty much stuck for an indefinete amount of time trying out x variations on your own, because the path to the solution can be fairly ambiguous at times. When you actually were looking forward to spend your time progressing in the story. Do i need all of the Elven notes from it for some grand final scene? i don't know.

Yeah. No. The way this puzzle actually works is that the conditions give you more than one possible starting tile. You fill in the puzzle, realize you used the wrong starting tile because there aren't enough constraints present at the start to narrow the tiles down to a singular choice, then you redo the puzzle with the new tile. The backtracking makes this puzzle design extremely poor. It's like playing a sudoku and being forced to guess on your first number, fill in half of the puzzle, and then erase it all and choose another number.

It appears even the colors are and symbol are facing different directions the placement is still correct

I sincerely hope the guy who made this quest has killed himself.

for the final puzzle, you are looking due east with the portal to the forgotten secrets at the top.

I think this quest is bugged as I did all the puzzles but when I go to the last one and finish the quest it marks that I failed to complete 4 puzzles??
Also I agree with the other anon that it should be marked that some slabs are not collectable until certain points in the game (such as Final Veil and Legacy of the Ancients slab locations are restricted to act V, Legacy available on discovery and Final veil only after Iz).

this is not a guide website , this site is a bait to lure you into his stream

Maybe you should write in this guide that some areas are only opening up in Act V, so people dont waste their time running around the whole map continuesly on Act III trying to find the missing slabs...

Make you reference what angle you took the screen shot at for the last puzzle, you shoot yourself in the foot by not mentioning it. Pretty easy to figure out, but it's pretty stupid of you to not mention that

Place of Execution is at the Wastes, the area west of Pulura's fall.

Where on the region map do you find the purple slabs for "Legacy of the Ancients"? Been looking for the "Place of Execution" cited on the wiki.
I don't get the logic behind Core of the Riddle, like what am I looking for?
